Okay, it’s been a while since I wrote anything but here is something that has been on my mind.
I love betting sports !! – But not all
I hope this helps break stereotypes that all animal rights and eco-friendly people are nothing but a bunch of left-winged, hippie liberals. I’m a treehugger no doubt about it, just not the stereotype.
Anyways, going to sportsbetting …
I took a long break from online wagering. Particularly because of the recent changes to US laws and online gaming. I had a few accounts at some of the better more trusted online sportsbooks. However, my Pinnaclesports.com and BetWWTS.com accounts are no longer standing because I’m a US Citizen.
Anyways, I found out that BetCRIS (who is and always has been one of the top sportsbook worldwide) accepts US Sports bettors via their owned and operated website BookMaker.com.
Anyways, I know from the past that this is a trusted site for US players and my $$$ will be safe, …. So of course I signed up for an account.

Anyways, going through their site and noticing the horse racing part of it made me think about something to comment on.
Many people know that dog racing as an industry is just about flat out EVIL !!! Before you jump to conclusions I’ll admit there are some dog owners who love greyhounds and race their dogs as a sport., in the meantime loving the animal and treating it like a member of the family.
Yes Greyhounds love to run, and yes the fact of a dog running around the track isn’t a bad nor a cruel thing. But here is the problem ….
Many racing owners don’t have greyhounds as a pet, Only a commodity. A commodity where the punishment for not producing is often death.
… I’m not going to talk too much about dog racing here but I’m going to comment on how many people are misguided to the fact that horse racing is any different.
I have one word FERDINAND !!! Ferdinand was a Kentucky Derby horse who was sent to slaughter. That’s right.. All these misconceptions that these prize winners get retired on lush green fields is a misconception.
Many think that these horses retire on farms, .. well they don’t. The same known cruelty for dog racing is a commonplace for horse racing as well.
Anyways, as this my be off subject, let me finish by saying, “If your going to bet sports, bet human sports.” – Human athletes at least get to retire and die of old age. Not so for the animals 😦

i totally agree horse racing and greyhound racing needs to stop and a good way to start that is by stopping the betting on the races. if anything bet on races that involve humans!!!

i think that horse racing is just a way people can bet money and try and win money it is cruel but some of the people do horse racing for fun and look after thee horse once they have stop racing

I cannot speak for all dog owners. Every greyhound I have owned I have personally seen that they are placed in homes. I agree with your mindset, the animals should have a quality of life when retired. If you want to talk about the subject further lets do it.

Dog racing isn’t so bad as dog FIGHTING (Michael Vick could tell ya that) but it’s the same scenario as with the horses…you don’t perform, you’re up for a bullet to the head. I’d like to see `em try that with athletes…human sports betting is a good way to even the score.
